Beatles Anthology

The Beatles Anthology - A Retrospective - Steve Hoffman Music Forums
Anthology 1 Anthology 1 is a compilation album by The Beatles and the first of a three-volume collection. It was released in November 1995 (tying in with a televised special - The Beatles Anthology - that aired in three parts) and includes rarities and alternatives tracks from the period 1958-1964, including their days as "The Quarrymen", through the Decca auditions to the album Beatles for Sale.

Beatles Anthology 4? - Steve Hoffman Music Forums
Rather than Anthology 4, let's have a complete canon of these various sources. The Beatles Live (hollywood bowl, shea, dc, london palladium, melbourne, etc), as well as The Beatles Outtakes, Rarities, Radio, etc. Put it on blu ray disks at hi-res, keep the disk count down, but for God's sake let's just finally get it over with.

Are the Beatles Anthology vols remastered for iTunes better than the ...
Sounds like you have applied a bit of common sense my friend, a shame all those Itunes sheep can't In all honesty do you think The Beatles are going to do a 'dedicated remaster' with the Anthology Cd's like they did with the 2009 Stereo boxsets just for Itunes and not have new re-packaged digipack Cd's available for retail physically?

The Beatles : Anthology Blu-Ray? - Steve Hoffman Music Forums
I tell ya, The Beatles Live on Video is a great idea for a boxed set. Shea, Hollywood Bowl, Budokan, Sullivan, the Apple rooftops, the works. I also had an idea years ago: take every Beatles song for which there is no visual performance, and create a CGI version in the same mode as "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love."

Beatles Anthology on DVD | Steve Hoffman Music Forums
There's no meat on the Beatles Anthology TV promos at all. I still have a cardboard statue/in store display for Anthology 2. There was enough memoribilia (pins, CD & vinyl promos) to make a "stills" folder on the DVD and make that appropriate.

Beatles Anthology Revisited – new 28 hour podcast
I’ve done a search but can’t find any mention of the amazing Beatles Anthology Revisited podcasts that have been posted online over the last month or two…. To commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the original Beatles Anthology project comes The Beatles Anthology Revisited , an 18-episode, 28-hour long audio documentary podcast ...

THE BEATLES anthology director's cut 93 - Steve Hoffman Music Forums
I would consider "Anthology Director's Cut" a mandatory item to any Beatles fan on the basis alone of it having been edited in the first place. As for the contents, I would say the bits that did not make it to the official release are few and far between, but some of them are very interesting.

Beatles 2017/2018 Outtakes versus Beatles Anthology cuts
You bet. Lots and lots of people, purely automatic, bought Anthology 1 because it was heavily advertised as the way to hear what The Beatles was all about. And lots of Anthology 1’s also ended up in the used cd bins shortly thereafter. Reports came in that casual consumers were dissapointed that the cd’s didn’t carry the hits they expected.

Beatles Anthology: what happened to the third "new" song?
Paul and George were photographed together on several occasions post-Anthology, and George did some interviews to promote the Anthology 3 album months after production had wrapped on the documentary, so I don't think he'd soured on the project. (In a late 1990s TV appearance, the interviewer tried to bait George by asking what p*ssed him off ...

The Beatles - Anthology 3 'Rethink' - Steve Hoffman Music Forums
The premise is simple: what if in the 90’s the material was at hand that later appeared on the 50th anniversary sets and Now and Then was released as the 3rd Anthology single. Growing up with the Beatles because my dad listened to them a lot (he even saw them live in the Netherlands in ’64), a familiar story among you I’m sure, the 90’s ...
